Then at the end the web developers’ thoughts turn to access control as most of the web design and development firms think they have enough time to tie together the user authentication and the roles module which is not often a good practice.
All of web design and development firms as well as the web developers’ pest the abundance of authorization solutions yet they themselves give it secondary importance. The developers accept the importance of third party solutions for common functions but still they roll their own access control solutions which prove to be muddled up for users as in this scenario each application reinvents how roles should be implemented. It is suggested that Web 2.0 should run on user-centric identity that is identity should be verified using portable credentials provided by a trusted third party, just like driver licenses are used to prove identity in non-digital transactions. These credentials are said to be asymmetric which means the issuer is unaware of where or how they are being used, making for a highly-scalable architecture.
