Some Basic Facts And Truths About Sermorelin

People associated with medical science are well aware of the significance of Growth Hormone (GH) for human survival and progress. That is why they have long been involved in finding out the true mechanism of production for Growth Hormone in human body.

For this long lasting search, discovery of Sermorelin came as a significant milestone. The reason is quite simple; Sermorelin has to do a lot with the production of Human Growth Hormone. It is basically a Growth Hormone Releasing Factor (GRF), or a GHRH (Growth Hormone Releasing Hormone), as some people like to name it.

Sermorelin

It is also known as the custodian of first 29 polypeptide amino acids produced by the pituitary gland with the help of neurosecretory neurons inside located inside the human brain, out of a total of 44 amino acids. It was in 1970s that R. Guilleman and A. Shalley, the two Nobel Laureates, discovered that out of those 44 amino acids, only the first 29 contained in Sermorelin are actually responsible for stimulating the pituitary gland for production of Growth Hormone. That is why GRH 1-29 NH 2 is the chemical name given to Sermorelin.

Some people misinterpret Sermorelin for being the Growth Hormone itself, but it is far from reality. In reality, it is a GH “secretagogue”, i.e. an agent responsible for stimulation of pituitary gland resulting in the production of HGH. Additionally, it is a smaller polypeptide comprising of only 29 amino acids, while HGH is a significantly larger molecule comprising of 191 amino acids.
